IPL 2025 Viewers and fans are going to have a great time as JioStar puts together the largest IPL yet. More than 170 experts, including Indian Premier League champions and World Cup winners from both India and other countries, are bringing to life the never-before-seen presentation with more than 25 feeds in 12 languages across linear TV and digital, just 24 hours before India’s favourite sporting carnival turns 18.
In addition to the English feed, JioStar Network will offer coverage in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on TV. Meanwhile, 12 languages—English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Punjabi—will be available for live streaming of the 18th season on digital platforms.
The JioHotstar live streaming will be enhanced by multi-cam feeds, Hangout streams, and a first-of-its-kind feed named “Motu Patlu present Super Funday” that is intended for families and young audiences in addition to the language options.
“What we’ve put together for the 2025 Indian Premier League is nothing short of spectacular. First-of-its-kind innovations, top-tier talent, and a presentation that will bring millions of Indians together should all be included in the celebration of the 18th season, a milestone. The league’s enthusiasm and intensity will be matched by our efforts,” stated JioStar, a sports spokesperson.
In a never-before-seen role, Kane Williamson, one of the most successful batters in history and a beloved global icon, will make his IPL commentary and expert debut. A two-time IPL winner and the first player from New Zealand to win the orange cap, he played for the Gujarat Titans until the previous season.
With the addition of IPL champion Shane Watson, former Mumbai Indians head coach Mark Boucher and his countryman and Royal Challengers Bengaluru icon AB de Villiers, former Punjab Kings coach Virender Sehwag, former Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan, and former Chennai Super Kings player Suresh Raina, JioStar’s core offering of giving fans inside access from key players who, until recently, shared the dressing room with elite franchisees will deepen.
With JioStar, Shane Watson resumes his IPL career after winning championships with the Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Along with previous IPL leaders and heroes, the lineup spans several language feeds and features Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa, Murali Vijay, and Kedar Jadhav. Anirudh and K Srikkanth, a father-son team, will be represented on the Tamil expert panel. The 2014 Indian Premier League Final man of the match, Manvinder Bisla, will serve as the face of the Haryanvi stream.
In an ongoing effort to provide viewers and fans with an immersive experience, JioStar is developing a second screen interaction touchpoint. If spectators miss any important moments while watching the action live on Linear TV, they will have the opportunity to use JioHotstar to access the vital moment on their phone by scanning a QR code.
MaxView, Live Audio Descriptive, and Indian Sign Language will make their IPL debuts on JioHotstar, helping to make the viewing experience inclusive and guarantee that viewers and supporters can enjoy the cricket carnival in their own manner. The popular Hero Cam will return to JioHotstar’s multi-cam broadcast, which will also feature Stump Cam, Batter Cam, and Bird’s Eye Cam, among other alternatives for viewers to watch the IPL from various perspectives.
In the 18th season of the Indian Premier League, the popular and digitally exclusive Hangout feed will return, along with the recently launched “Motu Patlu present Super Funday.” With the popular cartoon characters Motu and Patlu serving as commentators, the special kids’ broadcast will add a fun, lively, and thrilling element to the IPL experience.
Through the use of cutting-edge content makers and well-known stand-up comedians like Angad Singh, Kunal Saluja, Sahiba Bali, Inder Sahni, Shubham Shandilya, and Aditya Kulshreshta, among others, the Hangout stream will provide fans with a humorous and eccentric perspective on the league’s ongoing competition. This broadcast will feature classic IPL action, which should increase the league’s viewership by attracting new viewers and non-sports audiences.
IPL legends and leaders, such as MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, and Pat Cummins, are among the content that JioStar will curate for fans throughout the 18th season.
