In the 33rd IPL 2025 match, the Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a commanding four wickets. Ishan Kishan, who played for the Mumbai-based team for seven seasons before being let go before of the 2025 tournament, was seen talking with MI owner Nita Ambani after the game.
The suothpaw began the league with a century against Rajasthan Royals in his team’s opening match of the season. Notably, Sunrisers Hyderabad purchased him for INR 11 crores in the November super auction. But he hasn’t been able to maintain the momentum, as his scores are 0, 2, 2, 17, 9*, 2.
Ishan Kishan situation was not improved by his return to Wankhede Stadium however, as he was dismissed for just two runs against his old squad.
While the others were shaking hands, Nita Ambani regrouped with the player after the game. She gave Kishan a little pat on the cheek, and they both appeared to be very pleased to see one another.

The Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, appear to be back in form after winning their third game of the season. They have three victories and six points from their seven games thus far. With seven games left, the club has to win at least five more to secure their postseason berth independent of other outcomes.
With an outstanding all-around performance versus SRH, Will Jacks was the highlight of the match. After one of his key spinners, Karn Sharma, was hurt and forced to leave the pitch, MI captain Hardik Pandya made a smart tactical move by bringing in Jacks to bowl after the powerplay expired. As the hosts held the opposition to 162, Jacks took two wickets in three overs and gave up just 14 runs.
The home team’s openers made a fantastic start when they batted, and the middle-order hitters eventually took advantage of it. Jacks’ overall effort during the contest earned him the title of Player of the contest. He scored 36 runs and took two wickets.
