As the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India’s pioneering tennis-ball T10 tournament, prepares for another exciting season, player trials for Season 3 began on Sunday and will continue throughout 101 cities until November 5.
Following two really successful seasons, the ISPL is going bigger and bolder this time.
With trials in 101 cities, nearly double the 55 in Season 2, the league continues to expand its national footprint and attract cricketing talent from all over the country.
ISPL Season 3, featuring eight teams, will take place in Surat from January 9 to February 6, 2026, with the season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) receiving a brand-new Porsche 911, giving an exciting new dimension to player recognition and motivation.
From major metro hubs like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata to smaller towns such as Ambikapur, Rameswaram, Latur, Karnal, Ayodhya, Chandrapur, Ratnagiri, Satna and Bilaspur, the trials’ diverse locations ensure that cricketers nationwide have the chance to showcase their skills.
Suraj Samat, Core Committee Member and League Commissioner, ISPL, said:
“ISPL Season 3 is a landmark chapter, showing how the league has scaled in ambition and reach. With trials in 101 cities and an expanded squad size, we are committed to giving every talented player, whether from big cities or remote regions, a fair shot. Over 4.4 million registrations reflect the growing excitement and reach of the league.”
Dipak Chauhan, President – Operations, said:
“Expanding the ISPL trials to 101 cities is a strong reflection of our commitment to providing opportunities to talent from all parts of the country. This wider reach allows us to discover and support players at the grassroots level. Our team has worked diligently to ensure the trials are well-organised, transparent and accessible to all.”
Pravin Amre, Head of Selection Committee, ISPL, said:
“At ISPL, our priority is to ensure that every player is evaluated fairly and consistently. By maintaining standards throughout the trials, we aim to identify those with true potential, players who will not only excel in Season 3 but also grow to shine on the national stage.”
Jatin Paranjpe, Head of Selection Committee, ISPL, said:
“Every trial is an opportunity to mentor and guide aspiring cricketers. Beyond assessing talent, our goal is to support players in their growth, helping them develop the skills, confidence and mindset needed to succeed in ISPL and beyond. We are focused on nurturing the next generation of stars and ensuring that every player’s journey is valued and encouraged.”
This season, ISPL has received more than 4.4 million player registrations. The multi-stage trials process has been structured to ensure fairness, transparency and accessibility. All registered players receive a Golden Ticket for the City Trials. Selected players from the trials will receive a Green Ticket, advancing them to the Simulation Matches. Players who make the final shortlist of 450 will earn the coveted Blue Ticket, securing their place in the Season 3 Player Auction pool.
Adding an innovative dimension this year, ISPL has introduced Home Trials, where selectors visit the home cities of talented players to conduct trials, providing exceptional talent with an opportunity to shine, regardless of their location or access to facilities. To further elevate the competition, the league has expanded the squad size to 18 players per team, with the mandatory inclusion of two under-19 players, creating more opportunities for talented cricketers.
ISPL boasts a star-studded roster of celebrity team owners, including Salman Khan (New Delhi franchise), Ajay Devgn (Ahmedabad Lions), Amitabh Bachchan (Majhi Mumbai), Saif Ali Khan & Kareena Kapoor Khan (Tiigers of Kolkata), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar Ke Veer), Suriya (Chennai Singams), Hrithik Roshan (Bengaluru Strikers) and Ram Charan (Falcon Risers Hyderabad).
With trials underway across 101 cities, ISPL Season 3 is set to provide players with a national platform to showcase their talent and grow, promising an exciting and grander season in Surat.
