Yashasvi Jaiswal lost to Lockie Ferguson’s masterfully disguised slower delivery in Saturday, April 5th’s Match 18 of the 2025 Indian Premier League between the Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. After removing the set batter in the middle, the right-arm pacer was naturally pushed.
The 120.6 kph delivery, which was his third spell of the evening, totally outplayed the southpaw.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was rather early on the ball, having already scored his maiden fifty of the season.
Because of his botched bat swing, the ball struck the stumps and eventually uprooted the off-stump.

Ferguson’s first dismissal of the game was that of the skipper, Sanju Samson. Samson directed the full ball outside off stump straight to Shreyas Iyer, who was stationed at mid-off. Samson’s dismissal came almost immediately after the halfway mark had concluded.
Earlier in the evening, PBKS won the toss and opted to field first. The first six overs yielded 53 for the visitors. Samson and Jaiswal looked quite comfortable in the middle. At the halfway mark, RR were 85/0. Jaiswal’s 67 off 45 deliveries was well complemented by Riyan Parag (43* off 25) at the end. PBKS were set a target of 206.
