With a game-winning knock of 55 (35) against the Lucknow Super Giants, Australian and Delhi Capitals hitter Jake Fraser-McGurk made his debut on the grand stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL). At Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the 22-year-old top-scored for his team in the 90-run chase during Match 32 versus the Gujarat Titans, continuing to bat with complete freedom.
When Delhi began their innings, the gifted young player struck gold by hitting Sandeep Warrier with the opening ball of the inning. McGurk left DC Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly and commentator Ravi Shastri speechless as he effortlessly sent the Gujarat Titans seamer over his head for a six.

With the help of two fours and as many sixes, the 22-year-old went on to score 20 off just 10 balls and add 25 runs in just two overs to get off to a strong start. Delhi crossed the finish line in 8.5 overs thanks to contributions from Abhishek Porel (15 off 7), Shai Hope (19 off 10), Rishabh Pant (16* off 11), and Sumit Kumar (9* off 9). This was after he was dismissed.
Mukesh and Ishant completely destroyed GT’s batting.
