[WATCH]: James Vince hits towering six towards long-on against Saud Shakeel

At the National Stadium in Karachi, the eighth game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 between the Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators is presently in progress. David Warner, the captain of the Karachi Kings, chose to bat first after winning the toss.

Tim Seifert scored a rapid 27 off 15 balls and David Warner added 31 off 20 deliveries to give Karachi’s openers a strong start. James Vince, who was in form at the time of Warner’s departure, came in to carry on the momentum.

James Vince faced Saud Shakeel, a left-arm orthodox, in the eleventh over.

Vince walked down the track to an in-drifting delivery on the third ball of the over, turned it into a slot ball, and sent it over long-on for a huge six. The shot demonstrated his outstanding form and came clean off the middle of the bat.

The Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings have each won one game and lost one thus far in the competition. Early in the season, net run rate is quite important, therefore both clubs are trying to gain two more points and move up the standings.

James Vince struck a spectacular century with 101 runs, including 14 fours and four sixes, to help the Karachi Kings defeat the Multan Sultans to start their PSL 2025 campaign. However, they faltered in their second match, losing badly to the Lahore Qalandars by 65 runs.

Conversely, the Quetta Gladiators got off to a great start by defeating Peshawar Zalmi by an overwhelming 80 runs, but then suffered a defeat by Lahore Qalandars by 79 runs in their subsequent match.

Today’s match is essential for both teams to get back on track and solidify their place in the tournament because they are both coming off losses.
