The Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Jay Shah, was photographed visiting the hotel where Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are staying before of the IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) final in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3.
He was observed exiting a car and being hailed by a small group of people at the hotel entrance. There have been no updates on what happened inside the hotel or how long Shah was there. RCB will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the title final at the same location where Qualifier 2 was held. The Rajat Patidar-led side defeated PBKS in Mullanpur by eight wickets in Qualifier 1.
PBKS was bowled out for 101 in 14.1 overs, the shortest amount of time any side has batted in IPL playoffs history. Josh Hazlewood (3/21 in 3.1 overs) and Suyash Sharma (3/17 in three overs) were the standout bowlers. Phil Salt scored an unbeaten half-century (56* off 27) to seal the victory.

In the league phase, both sides finished with 19 points. PBKS and RCB finished first and second, respectively, with net run rate determining their final points standings. PBKS had an NRR of +0.372, with RCB following closely at +0.301.
RCB has failed to win the showpiece T20 league final three times in a row. PBKS is making their first IPL final appearance since 2014, when they were defeated by a narrow three-wicket margin with as many deliveries remaining.
