Jaydev Unadkat, a pacer for the Lucknow Super Giants, has been declared out for the remainder of the IPL 2023 season after injuring his left shoulder during practice on April 30. However, according to reports, the cricketer will be healthy by the time India faces Australia on June 7 at the Oval in the World Test Championship final.
Notably, just before he was scheduled to bowl his first delivery in the nets, Jaydev Unadkat’s left foot became entangled in the cable that holds the net up.
As a result, the cricketer fell on his bowling elbow and injured himself. The cricketer was subsequently spotted with his arm in a sling and an ice compress on his shoulder, per ESPNcricinfo, shortly after clutching his shoulder while on the ground.
In the meantime, Jaydev Unadkat has traveled to Mumbai for examinations, and the BCCI is closely monitoring his condition. After the cricketer visited one of the special consultants appointed by the Indian board, the Lucknow Super Giants decided to withdraw his name for the remainder of the season. He is expected to relocate to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for rehabilitation and preparation for his next assignment, the WTC final.

He was unable to continue playing and only came out to bat at number 11, but it was observed that he could scarcely walk. In the meantime, there has been no medical update verifying the severity of Rahul’s injury.
