The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have won three of their first four games in the IPL 2025 season, which is an outstanding start. They started the season off on a high note by defeating the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) handily at Eden Gardens.
Jitesh Sharma, the RCB wicketkeeper, has amassed 85 runs over the course of three innings.
Instead of attacking every bowler mindlessly, the Vidarbha cricket player said his squad is playing smart cricket. According to the 31-year-old, they follow the management’s position and have a good understanding of each other’s strengths. According to the cricketer, who was born in Amravati, each batter will target a particular bowler while others take care of the others. The right-handed batter acknowledged that every action is calculated and the result of careful consideration.
It’s not like we’re just going out and hitting every bowler; I think we’re playing pretty good cricket. We are engaging in intelligent cricket. Our batting order knows each other very well, and we are aware of each other’s strengths. The team management has delineated our responsibilities; for example, Jitesh Sharma will focus on specific bowlers while the team will tend to other bowlers. That’s the type of approach we employ. Thus, we are acting extremely wisely. We are making every choice carefully; we are not attempting to take over mindlessly,” Jitesh told RCB.
In the second game, RCB maintained their impressive play by defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepauk, displaying mastery of the bat and the ball. But in the third game, they suffered their first defeat at home against Gujarat Titans (GT). They overcame the five-time champion Mumbai Indians (MI) in their fourth game, earning their third victory of the current campaign.
To win their first home game of the season, RCB will play the Delhi Capitals (DC) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 10.
