Jofra Archer scored a maximum on the opening ball of his innings in the sixth IPL 2025 match between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Not content to stop there, he hit Spencer Johnson for another six in the following over. The second one went even farther, and Archer’s stroke play left the Australian pacemaker perplexed.
The squad reached 151-9 in the first innings thanks to Archer’s brief appearance of 16 runs in 7 balls. Even though they got off to a strong start, RR lost wickets quickly in the middle overs, and their batting order was completely destroyed. The innings was began by Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Riyan Parag followed. The others continued to fall like a deck of cards shortly after they were removed. Only Dhruv Jurel, who led RR in scoring with 33, displayed some resistance.
Therefore, the Royals were quite fortunate to receive Jofra Archer strike to the fag end.

Quinton de Kock of the KKR was just amazing at bat, scoring an undefeated 97 runs throughout the run-chase. The player was careful to complete the game. Despite being there from the beginning, he did a great job of staying balanced. They won the match by eight wickets thanks to his encouragement in the closing moments from youthful Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

The South Africa international also won Player of the Match after an outstanding performance. He discussed his actions after joining the club and how the three-month sabbatical benefited him during the presentation. The stumper-batsman is more than just a useful addition to their batting lineup, as demonstrated by today’s knock.
“I wanted to make the most of my opportunity, so it was nice to have it. Fair enough, I haven’t yet encountered any difficulties. It felt good to have three months off. This season was built up over roughly ten days. “This is just my second game here, so I’m just taking it as it comes,” he stated during the post-game presentation.
