Notably, Williamson has been a part of the Super Giants family, as he represents the Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20 competition, South Africa’s premier global T20 league. He joined the Durban-based side in the previous season, and impressed with 233 runs at an average of 46.60, which included a couple of half-centuries as well.
Now that his onboarding to LSG has been finalized, Williamson will be seen donning the advisor’s hat for the Rishabh Pant-led side. The team did not have the best of the campaigns in the 2025 season, and will be hoping for a turnaround with Pant and Williamson at the helm of affairs. For the unversed, LSG recently parted ways with Zaheer Khan as their mentor, whereas, former India bowling coach Bharat Arun has been welcomed into their atmosphere.
