[WATCH] IPL 2025: Khaleel Ahmed sent Rohit Sharma packing for duck in CSK vs MI match

Rohit Sharma, the former captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), left the field for a duck in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 third match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rohit was removed without scoring a run on the fourth ball of the match, demonstrating his ongoing form problems. The 37-year-old batsman was sent back to the pavilion by CSK’s rookie Khaleel Ahmed, who did the magic with the ball.

The great cricket player appeared somewhat taken aback by the way the ball entered the bat after facing the first three deliveries of the match. as delivering three different lengths, Rohit was forced to play the flick shot as Khaleel selected an in swinger on the pads. He was surprised, though, as the ball flew directly to Shivam Dube, who was stationed at short mid-wicket. Dube didn’t make a mistake, and CSK made their first breakthrough when Rohit finally had to walk the long distance back.

The toss was won by CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, who arranged MI to bat first. Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of MI, ironically stated that he was glad to bat first because of the wicket. However, MI is not looking good as they have already lost three early wickets.

Is it MI or CSK who is ahead?

It’s no accident that the match between CSK and MI is called El Clásico. Over the years, the two sides have faced off in a number of intriguing games. Furthermore, MI has not dropped a single finals game since falling to CSK in the 2010 finals. This is an incredible rivalry because both sides have played excellent cricket in the league.

Since 2021, however, the Chennai-based team has held the advantage over MI, winning five of the seven games they have played. The home field of CSK, Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, is the site of this match. They also have some excellent bowlers on the team, so it will be interesting to watch how the game turns out.
