After Travis Head was out on Day 5 of the third Test match between Australia and India, a young Indian fan from the stands at The Gabba made a really amusing impersonation. Australia’s second innings saw the amusing occurrence as the batter was removed with a top-edge that Rishabh Pant eventually caught.
This was the second time in the current series that Mohammed Siraj defeated the talismanic southpaw. When the catch was made, the cameras focused on the young child, who was one of the few people in the stands cheering Head’s dismissal with joy. After taking the wicket, the child was so happy that he even imitated the farewell that Siraj had given Head at the pink-ball Test earlier this month.

The International Cricket Council fined Siraj 20% (INR 8,95,340) of his match costs as a result of his flaming celebration. The regulating committee also fined him one penalty point. The home team won by 10 wickets in the day-night Test match at the Adelaide Oval. However, Head received criticism following his conviction for violating Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Staff.
Player of the Match went to Travis Head.
There were numerous weather delays during the third Test match at the Gabba, which finished in a tie. Australia reached a competitive 445 in their first innings thanks to a brilliant 152 from Head and a redeeming century from Steve Smith.
Before Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep’s last-wicket partnership, India’s score had a respectable tinge thanks to graceful performances from KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja. Rain ultimately decided the outcome of the run-chase in the second over, with Australia declaring their innings at 89. For the second game in a row, Head was named Player of the Match.
