Kiran Navgire set a new record in women’s T20 cricket by scoring the fastest century. The top-order batsman scored 106 off 35 as Maharashtra defeated Punjab with 12 overs remaining in the 2025 Women’s T20 Trophy match at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground, Civil Lines in Nagpur.
Her 34-ball century surpassed Sophie Devine‘s record of 36 balls. Navgire completed with a strike rate of 302.86, making her the first women’s T20 centurion with a strike rate more than 300. Surprisingly, Mukta Magre had the next highest score for Maharashtra with only 6* out of 10.
Kiran Navgire’s knock included 14 fours and seven sixes, and she scored 106 of her team’s 113 runs, accounting for 93.81% of the total.
The 113/1 was also the lowest total to include a single hundred in women’s T20s.
Navgire has only played six T20Is for India, but she has played 25 matches for UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Navgire has 419 runs at 140.13, 44 fours and 24 sixes in the competition.
Earlier in the match, Punjab were restricted for just 110/6 in their allotted 20-over quota. Kumari was the top-scorer with 30* off 23. Dnyaneshwari Patil conceded only 13 runs in her four overs, while Anuja Patil and BM Mirajkar picked two wickets apiece. Jashanpreet Chahal secured the only wicket to fall for Maharashtra, conceding only eight runs in her one over.
