The defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who already have a top-tier spin unit in Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Moeen Ali, have signed another spinner to their roster for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). We are discussing Rinku Singh.
Rinku bowled off-spin during a training session prior to KKR’s opening match against
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens on March 22 (Saturday), according to a video that the team shared on social media.

Rinku has an incredible record in the two overs he has bowled for India in the two white-ball formats, despite not having bowled a single delivery in the IPL.
Rassie van der Dussen was out of the game when Rinku bowled one over against South Africa in Gqeberha. Keep in mind that Rinku was responsible for one of the Proteas’ two wicket losses in that game.
Rinku bowled one over and got rid of Ramesh Mendis and Kusal Perera, even in a Twenty20 International match against Sri Lanka on the spin-friendly Pallekele surface.
Rinku arrived to bowl the 19th over when Sri Lanka needed nine runs in two overs. He captured two wickets and gave up just three runs. When the game finally came down to the Super Over, India unexpectedly prevailed.
In international cricket, Rinku’s bowling average is 1.66 overall.
Prior to the IPL 2025 mega auction, Rinku was acquired by KKR at INR 13 crore.
