Interestingly, his statement drew reference to the tweet from the Kolkata Police confirming the safety precautions for April 6.

The rumour that the match would be moved to Guwahati was denied by the former Indian batter. One of their executives stated that talks had been held with the Kolkata Police to guarantee sufficient security for players and spectators at Eden Gardens, even though the BCCI has not yet released an official statement.
