The historic Trophy Tour of the Kolkata Knight Riders began its journey to commemorate their third IPL championship, stopping at Cooch Behar to mingle with the fervent supporters in the royal city.
With the city’s rich history and architectural magnificence as a backdrop, the IPL trophy was on display at the magnificent and immaculate Rajbari Palace when the tour got underway. In order to combine the thrill of cricket with the city’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, the trophy was subsequently transferred to the hallowed Madan Mohan Temple.
Exuberant fans flocked to the Cooch Behar Stadium to see the renowned trophy up close and commemorate KKR’s successful 2024 season as the festivities came to an end.
As the excitement for the forthcoming season grows, fans throughout the region continue to be captivated by KKR’s historic Trophy Tour. On March 7, the waggon would travel to Patna after this fruitful tour to Cooch Behar.
At the storied Eden Gardens, the Kolkata Knight Riders will play Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22 to begin their IPL 2025 campaign.
Ajinkya Rahane is prepared to lead Kolkata in their title defence.
Their captain for the next tournament, Ajinkya Rahane, will be looking to maintain their luck and defend the crown. Rahane recently talked about how he changed the way he batted, which helped him succeed greatly in the domestic season and became the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy’s top run scorer.
The others would play around me, and it was always about being the anchor. Ajinkya Rahane stated, as cited by News18, “But the last two to three years, it’s always about playing with freedom, fearless cricket, and going out and backing my game, and I am trying to do that (play fearless cricket).” It’s also about adhering to my procedures and routines and remaining faithful and truthful to the game.
“I’m doing okay batting-wise for me. I had a great domestic season and was rewarded with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. I am therefore confident in myself; all I need to do is remain in the present, maintain my composure, and continue to support myself while avoiding thinking too much about the future or the past. “It’s always about getting better and having fun with my game,” he continued.
