In the first Test match against Australia in Perth, Nitish Kumar Reddy made his Test debut. After taking out Mitchell Marsh and scoring 41 and an undefeated 38 in two innings, he appeared to be in form. He later scored 42 in the warm-up match against the Prime Minister’s XI.
Reddy hailed veteran batsman KL Rahul for his support, as he was able to secure his spot for the second Test in Adelaide.
Reddy disclosed that anytime he encounters a problem, he goes to KL Rahul for assistance, and the latter’s counsel consistently proves effective.
“I just want to go chat to KL bhai if I have any problems about anything. In some way, I get positive vibrations from him, and I find that whatever advice he provides me works. “Macha, you feel like everything is moving so quickly when you get to the centre. Don’t go so fast, slow down the game because my first match went against me,” he remarked. Everything transpired in a matter of seconds after I arrived, and I was at a loss for what to do. That was incredibly helpful, and he provided me advice before I batted,” Nitish stated in a BCCI-released video.

Notably, Nitish was not involved in the overall scheme of things in terms of red-ball cricket. After an incredible IPL season, the cricketer was selected for the Zimbabwe series’ T20 team. But after being sidelined by an injury, he eventually made his debut against Bangladesh in the home series.
Nitish met the Indian team management’s need for a fast-bowling all-rounder for the Australia series and was called up. His performance in the first Test match was impressive, but in the second match in Adelaide, the pink ball game will put his abilities to the test.
