The Indian squad had yet another triumph in the Champions Trophy. They defeated New Zealand in a fierce final match on Sunday, March 9 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to win their sixth ICC men’s title.
The majority of the credit for India’s victory in the summit match went to Rohit Sharma’s outstanding bowling performances and spearheading knock. However, some of the team’s significant contributions were overlooked. As the Men in Blue won the match by four wickets and an over remaining, KL Rahul had one particularly noteworthy knock, finishing with an undefeated 34 from 33 balls.
Rahul uploaded two photos from the ground to social media following the game. In one photo, the cricket player is seen eating the medal with his teeth, while in another, his jersey, traditional white coat, victory medal, and silverware are all spread out over the 22-yard field. With the comment, “Slowly sinking in,” he included a medal and a blue love emoji on ‘X’.

KL Rahul redeems himself after the trauma of 2023
When Rahul played in India’s 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia, the scenes were very different. While batting under tremendous pressure in Ahmedabad, Rahul received a lot of trolling for his slow performance. As a result, India lost the match and had to settle for a runners-up medal. The selectors’ conviction in Rahul persisted even after both experts and fans began to doubt his spot in the ODI squad.
Since KL Rahul was one of the team’s top middle-order batsmen about a year and a half later, the selectors’ faith produced positive outcomes for the Indian team. Rahul scored 140 runs in four innings at a scorching average of 140.00, including crucial cameos to help the team finish. In order to demonstrate his determination to see the competition through to the end, he also went undefeated three times.
