A safety concern has raised a red alert for another Eden Gardens match as the first IPL 2025 encounter between KKR and RCB is marred by worries over a possible washout.
On the other hand, Kolkata Police assured the public and supporters of high security for the KKR vs. LSG game, which falls during Ram Navami festivities.

The Joint Commissioner of Police (Headquarters), Meeraj Khalid, discussed the police force’s preparations for the 2025 Indian Premier League season. “Every year, Kolkata hosts IPL matches. As we always do prior to a game, we have made plans. Khalid informed Indian Express that even greater plans would be made this year.
Regarding BCCI’s answer to their request, CAB stated, “We haven’t received any response regarding that yet.”
It is requested by CAB to BCCI that the April 6 match between KKR and LSG be delayed or transferred to a another location. Snehasish Ganguly, the president of the CAB, has previously stated that the “misleading posts” were caused by the Kolkata Police’s lack of confidence in their ability to provide sufficient protection for the game.
The problem was resolved by Kolkata Police in their post on X. Ram Navami festivities will clash with the KKR vs. LSG game on April 6. CAB has discussed delaying or shifting the match to a different location with BCCI in order to prevent security and safety concerns.
There has been no response to CAB’s communication to BCCI about delaying or transferring the match to a another location. According to a CAB officer who spoke to the Indian Express, “We haven’t received any response regarding that yet.”
