Rishabh Pant’s subpar IPL 2025 performance for the Lucknow Super Giants was discussed by Kris Srikkanth. In the 18th league season, the former Indian cricket player claimed on his YouTube channel that Pant was struggling. Pant, in his opinion, had the misfortune of not producing the best outcomes for his team when batting and captaining.
Pant, who formerly commanded the highest price at IPL auctions, is currently having his worst season ever. Srikkanth believed the southpaw was unable to bat freely and frequently made shots that lacked clarity. According to him, it is the cause of Pant’s ineffectiveness as a hitter.
Unfortunately for Rishabh Pant, things are not going his way. He always seems to be making mistakes, whether it’s field placements or bowling adjustments, even when he is captaining. He isn’t getting his way. Srikkanth posted on his YouTube channel, “Even with the bat, he can play freely and boldly, but he seems to be playing half-hearted shots with no clarity.”
He is finding new ways to get out: Kris Srikkanth
Srikkanth asserted that he linked the great batter’s methods of getting out to his own playing days. He believed Pant had gotten away with trying unconventional shots like reverse-paddles, reverse-sweeps, and wild swings. Pant, he said, was also not having luck.
“He keeps coming up with new ways to get kicked out of games. I used to come up with methods to get kicked out while I was playing, and Pant is doing worse than I am. I thought so thirty years ago, but now he’s coming up with new ways to escape, like swinging wildly, reverse-sweeping, and reverse-paddling,” Srikkanth continued.
He then recommended that the LSG management advise Pant to take a break from cricket for a while. Since LSG doesn’t have any standout bowlers in this edition, Srikkanth advised them to acquire better ones. Due to the loss of numerous bowlers to injuries and other causes, LSG lacked a strong bowling core.
“All I want is for him to be left alone.” They ought to say enough and simply leave and take a break. The season is over. “They need to bring in bowlers and change the core for the upcoming season because they don’t have any in this team,” Srikkanth thought.
