Right then, that will be it from this contest. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. Do join in tomorrow for a Super Saturday where we have two games lined up for you. The first game of the day will be between the Sharjah Warriorz and the Desert Vipers at the Sharjah Stadium in Sharjah which starts at 10.00 am GMT while the second contest features the MI Emirates and the Gulf Giants from the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. That game will start at 2.00 pm GMT. But as you know, you can always join early for all the build-up. Until then, take care, and cheers!
Alishan Sharafu IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Alishan says this was a crucial knock for him as he did not get runs earlier. Mentions that the wicket wasn't that easy to bat on. Closes by saying that playing in such a star-studded team as it give a player the freedom to play freely.
The skipper of Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Sunil Narine says the players played well and that helped them win. Mentions that they have Andre Russell coming late in the innings and he could impact any game and that shows their depth. Adds that the batters did well in the middle overs and Willey and Kyle Mayers gave them a brilliant start with the ball as well. Closes by saying the team is playing as a unit in the middle and that helps the skipper.
Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of MI Emirates says the opposition batted well and that was the difference. Mentions that the left and right combination worked wonders for them in the middle phase. Reckons that the side could have batted well outside the Powerplay but 4 wickets right at the top did not help them any bit. Closes by saying Kieron Pollard batted well and that made a difference to their NRR.
Stay tune for the presentation ...
Earlier today, the Knight Riders batted first and posted a solid score of 182/7 on the back of a fine fifty from Alishan Sharafu. At the same time, Andries Gous, Charith Asalanka, and Jason Holder made handy scores through the middle and the lower order of the innings. Alzarri Joseph and Fazalhaq Farooqi were the standout bowlers for the MI Emirates. MI Emirates will look to bounce back from this loss while the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders will look to keep the momentum.
The Abu Dhabi Knight Riders' bowling unit delivered a phenomenal performance, setting the tone from the very first over. Their seamers consistently hit the ideal length, exploiting the swing and bounce on offer, which made life difficult for the MI Emirates batters. The pace trio of Kyle Mayers, Jason Holder, and David Willey shared the spoils, with Mayers standing out with a three-wicket haul. Holder chipped in with two wickets, while Willey claimed one. Notably, the spinners didn't manage to pick up a single wicket, highlighting the seamers dominance on this track.
MI Emirates' chase got off to a disastrous start, with the team struggling to cope with the challenging track. They lost wickets at regular intervals, slumping to 17/3 and later 69/5 by the 12th over. The only bright spot in their innings was Kieron Pollard, who waged a lone battle, scoring an unbeaten 69 off 49 balls. Despite his effort, MI Emirates ultimately fell short, succumbing to a 43-run defeat. To be fair even Kieron Pollard started swinging once the game was out of their reach but runs are runs and MI Emirates will take this positive from this game that Kieron Pollard has finally found the middle of his bat.
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have finally broken their winless streak against MI Emirates, securing a convincing 42-run victory! ADKR will be thrilled to have gotten the monkey off their back.

WIDE! Full and wide down the leg, Akeal Hosein goes for the flick but misses. Wided.

Yorker, angling away from off, Akeal Hosein looks to get some part of his bat behind this but gets beaten. The bat of Akeal Hosein jams into the ground but the sound has convinced Ali Khan and his keeper that there must be an edge here. Skipper Sunil Narine sends this upstairs. The UltraEdge shows no spike as the ball passes next to the bat but it does show murmur as the bat series the ground. Akeal Hosein survives.

DROPPED! Roston Chase drops a difficult take but the batters did not even take a single. Maybe KP wants to have the strike for the final over. Short-pitched, around leg, Akeal Hosein goes for the pull but gets it off the top edge and it lands sideways towards the right of Chase at short fine for no run.
