David Willey, the PLAYER OF THE MATCH, says his job is to take wickets with the new ball. Mentions he and Jason Roy have a bit of history and he loves bowling to him. Tells scoreboard dictates what is required at that point and deliver what is required.
Sunil Narine says it's easier batting second but they bowled well and had a couple of key partnerships with the bat. Tells the seamers were doing a fantastic job so he just pushed himself to bowl a bit later in the innings.
Tim Southee says it was a bit too many on the surface and hopes to do well in the next game. Tells ideally they don't to play so many dot balls and would love to minimize as much as possible. Shares they need a couple of partnership and will try in the next game.

Sharjah Warriorz will be disappointed with the intent they showed. They batted so well in the first game but today they lacked intensity. It wasn't easy to get going after losing top three so quickly but Mustafa, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Janat all struggled. That was the point when Abu Dhabi Knight Riders started believing and bowled with more effort. Tim Southee hit a few shots in the end but it was too late till then. Earlier, Sharjah Warriorz kept Abu Dhabi Knight Riders under a decent total which looked chaseable at the halfway point but once again credit to Abu Dhabi Knight Riders for the way they bowled.
A comfortable win for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and they are off the mark this season. A lot of credit to their bowlers for the way they performed. They had a par total and looked a bit short of runs but their bowlers were right on money from the start. Wiley and Mayers swung the ball both ways and put Sharjah Warriorz under pressure. Holder and Bhutta then bowled in tandem to make things worse for the opposition. Holder in particular treated himself with a four-fer. It was a tailor made pitch for his hard length deliveries. Jason Holder was superb and his performance in the middle overs turned tides towards his side.
