Presentations coming up...
Earlier in the match, after being asked to bat first, United didn't start well, with early wickets falling. Agha Salman and Jordan Cox then built a partnership, capitalizing on dropped catches. They both played well, with Cox scoring 41 before getting out. Azam Khan and Imad Wasim couldn't contribute much, but Salman continued his good form, scoring fifty. United couldn't accelerate towards the end and finished with a total of 144 runs. Mohammad Ali and Abbas Afridi were the standout bowlers for the Sultans, while Usama Mir also took important wickets as the Sultans put up a strong bowling performance.
Islamabad United bowled well. They broke the Rizwan-Hendricks a bit late. Once that was broken, they got momentum on their side for a while. Shadab Khan's 17th over of 18 runs got Multan Sultans back in the driver's seat. They will look to bounce back from this now and come back stronger in their next game.
The Multan Sultans lost Dawid Malan early on but Mohammad Rizwan and Reeza Hendricks steadied the ship. They brewed a partnership of 71 runs. Once Rizwan fell, wickets kept tumbling for the Multan Sultans'. Hendricks kept on batting at the other end but fell after his half century. The game went down the wire and they got over the line in the final over.
What a remarkable game of cricket we have had here at Multan Cricket Stadium! The momentum of the game shifted from one corner to another like a pendulum and in the end, it was the Multan Sultans who got over the line.

That's it! Iftikhar Ahmed does it for his side as Multan Sultans win their second game with 5 wickets in hand. Mills bowls a wide yorker outside off, Iftikhar Ahmed digs it in front of the fielder at point and takes off for the single. The fielder collects the ball well and has a shy at the stumps at the striker's end but misses by a lot. Shadab Khan is furious as he wanted the throw to be at the nonstriker's end. Islamabad United took it close but it's Multan Sultans who get across the line.

Great that he mistimed this one! A fuller delivery on off, Iftikhar Ahmed lofts it just short of deep mid-wicket for a single. 2 more needed to win off 3 balls.

Pitches this on a touch shorter length on off, David Willey swipes it to mid off and sprints for the run. A direct hit at the bowler's end would have been curtains for David Willey.
