That's it then from this game and this series as well. Aaron Finch has been handed the trophy and the Australia players are posing for some team pictures. Australia will now host England in a three-game T20I series leading up to the T20 World Cup. The first match will be played on 9th October at 1.40 pm IST (8.10 am GMT). On the other hand, West Indies will take on UAE in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup warm-up match on 10th October at 5.30 am IST (12 am GMT). Do join us for the coverage. Till then, take care and goodbye.
The skipper of Australia, Aaron Finch says that it was an incredible win and the difference were David Warner and Tim David. He credits David for his batting performance. Adds that one is always learning and that there will be challenges. Mentions that they are trying to manage the workload of the players for the England series to keep them fresh for the World Cup.
Nicholas Pooran, captain of West Indies says that the Aussies were the better team and deserved to win and congratulates them. Adds that they are getting accustomed to the conditions and hopes to do well in the upcoming World Cup.
David Warner (75 off 42 balls) is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH and the SERIES as well. Warner says that it was a fantastic all round performance. He praises their bowlers for the way they defended this total. Adds that he had a nice little break and is looking forward to Perth. Mentions that Cameron Green is like himself when he first started and further adds that he will have a big impact in the future.
Earlier in the game, Nicholas Pooran won the toss and elected to field and after picking up an early wicket, David Warner counter-attacked. This put the Windies' bowlers under pressure and runs started to flow. The visitors did manage to get rid of Warner and pulled things back a bit. Then came a powerful cameo by Tim David but once again the Windies bowlers came back and ended on a high. Alzarri Joseph was very impressive and so were a couple of other bowlers. Chasing 179 runs to win at the Gabba was never going to be easy and the failure of the middle-order made things very difficult for the visitors. In the end, they lost the game by a fair bit.
West Indies were behind the eight ball right from the off with Kyle Mayers departing early. Brandon King looked pretty good though and Johnson Charles managed to stay at the crease. Once King fell though, the middle order just couldn't get any momentum in the chase. Rovman Powell and Akeal Hosein did manage to hit a few lusty blows and Hosein in particular looked good but it was already a bit too late by then. The Windies will now look to reflect on the little things they did wrong and gear up for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Australia had a big total on the board and needed a couple of quick wickets. Mitchell Starc got rid of Kyle Mayers in the very first over but they couldn't get another breakthrough in the Powerplay. It was then Adam Zampa who broke a dangerous partnership between King and Charles. The Aussies were then able to pick up frequent wickets in the middle phase and had the game well in control. Their bowlers managed to fend off a late charge from Powell and Hosein and got over the line with ease with Starc picking up four wickets.
A comfortable victory in the end for Australia and they have sealed the two-game T20I series 2-0. West Indies were competitive in both games but just didn't have enough firepower with bat or ball to get past the Aussies.

OUT! TIMBER! Mitchell Starc gets his fourth wicket and this is a peach of a delivery. He nails the yorker from over the wicket, on middle, Odean Smith moves across but cannot put his bat down in time to block it. The ball goes through and rattle the stumps. West Indies 8 down now and Mitchell Starc has 5 balls to take a five-wicket haul.
Mitchell Starc will bowl the final over. Australia are an over behind and will have to bring in an extra fielder for the final over and Aaron Finch doesn't seem happy about it.
