The majority of the crowd had left Grand Prairie Stadium after the game, so it appeared to be nearly empty when the woman started yelling Marcus Stoinis’ name aloud. An intense 14-hour drive from Colorado Springs to Dallas, the site of Match 21 between the Texas Super Kings and the Seattle Orcas, was driven by a 24-year-old woman’s intense devotion and adoration for the Australia all-round player.
All she wanted was to watch her favourite cricketer Marcus play and cheer him on from the stands.
A representative of the Texas Super Kings noticed her voice as it reverberated through the vast space of the arena. She was already engaged in an honest interview at the time. This was the start of what was going to be an incredible and bizarre series of occurrences.

The woman spoke with the representative before having a lovely encounter with the TSK star and taking a photo that she would definitely frame and cherish for the rest of her life, in which Stoinis signed the beautiful banner.
The picture showed her next to the enormous athlete and an amazing montage of Stoinis bowling while wearing the TSK jersey, coupled with a few shots of the tough athlete altered to look like the superhero The Hulk. Text from the collage said, “14 hours drive to support him tonight.” She talked about how she got into watching cricket and about her background, saying she was born in Afghanistan but had moved to the US a long time ago.
She revealed that her uncles would get together to watch cricket when she was little, and that’s when her love for the game started. When Stoinis made his international debut in 2015, she was still a student and saw him for the first time. She told her school friends how much she admired him and how meeting him would be a dream come true, which is exactly what happened nine years later.

She was questioned about her emotions at the time following her encounter with her favourite cricket player. She was, understandably, completely taken aback, transfixed, and speechless. The woman, pumped full of adrenaline, could only say she felt like she was in a complete dream and couldn’t believe what had happened to her.
