At the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, during Match 4 of the Champions Trophy 2025 between Australia and England, dynamic cricketer Marnus Labuschagne made an absolutely amazing grab. It’s interesting to note that the middle-order batsman finished England’s innings with a catch off his own bowling.
Labuschagne was told to bowl the last over of the innings after he had removed Ben Duckett, a southpaw who had hit a record-breaking 165 in the 48th over. Labuschagne seized Brydon Carse during the second delivery. Carse ended up top-edging the ball while attempting to launch the flung up delivery over the fence. Labuschagne sprinted back, estimating the flying ball to perfection by taking it over his shoulder because there was no mid-on in situ and a long-on instead.

In five overs, he finished with figures of 2/41. Considering that he was the seventh substitute for the Steve Smith-led team, it was a decent performance from him. In the end, England scored 351 points, which was the highest total in Champions Trophy history to date. In addition to Duckett’s outstanding hit, Joe Root made an impression with a cool 78-ball 68-run knock.
