Cricket player Mayank Agarwal from India experienced a serious health problem while traveling from Agartala to Delhi. He was taken to the hospital and placed in the intensive care unit. Notably, with four matches remaining in the Ranji Trophy 2023–24, Mayank Agarwal is leading Karnataka with 310 runs scored.
The 32-year-old reportedly had to be admitted to the hospital right away after complaining of a stomach ache and a burning feeling in his mouth and throat following the consumption of some liquid from a bottle. After throwing up nonstop during the Indigo flight, the right-handed hitter was let off the aircraft.
To the satisfaction of his supporters, the ILS hospital in Agartala is now treating Mayank Agarwal, and the hospital staff has certified that he is clinically stable, according to ESPNCricinfo. It was also mentioned that the cricket player was being observed for a full day due to “oral irritation” and “swelling on the lips.”.
In addition to being in communication with the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), representatives from the Tripura Cricket Association are also present at the hospital. Mayank Agarwal is not expected to play in Karnataka’s upcoming match, which is scheduled to start on February 2.
A medical emergency on board forced IndiGo flight 6E 5177, which was traveling from Agartala to Delhi, to return to its starting point. After being unloaded, the traveler was sent to the hospital immediately in need of more medical care. At 1620 hours, the aircraft took off once more toward its destination, according to a statement from Indigo.
