MCC makes a statement following an investigation
The MCC’s categorically denounced the concerned parties’ activities in a letter to its members, describing their conduct as being well below the standards required of MCC members.
“The three people’s behavior in the Pavilion on the relevant day was well below what we expect from our Members. The repercussions of violating the Club’s code of conduct include those listed above, according to an MCC statement.
The Marylebone Cricket Club has withheld the identities of the penalized members due to the confidentiality surrounding the specifics of the disciplinary procedure. All three of the members were found guilty of “abusive, offensive, or inappropriate behavior or language,” though. One member has been expelled as a result, while the other two will be suspended for a total of 30 months and four and a half years, respectively.
