Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi to exact revenge for their previous loss. With the victory in Match No. 46, RCB moved directly to the top of the Points Table and recorded their seventh victory of the 2025 IPL season.

Rajat Patidar’s bowlers kept strict control with disciplined line and lengths throughout the first innings, making it difficult for DC to get momentum. Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL history after taking three wickets with the ball. Josh Hazlewood helped him retake control of the Purple Cap by contributing two wickets as well.

When RCB lost three wickets for just 26 runs, they were in trouble right away. But with a vital 119-run partnership, Krunal Pandya and the king of the chase, Virat Kohli, steadied the innings. 51 off 47 balls was a cool knock from the right-handed batter. Tim David gave the chase a satisfying finish by scoring 19 runs off of just 5 balls in the 19th over.

Although Axar Patel was the most impressive bowler for DC, finishing with figures of 2 for 19 in his four overs, nobody else looked particularly well with the ball. With seven victories in ten games following this triumph, RCB soared to the top of the points table, while DC, who had suffered their third defeat of the year, was in fourth position.
