India won the Asia Cup 2025 Match 2 against the United Arab Emirates by nine wickets with 93 balls to spare at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The run chase lasted barely 4.3 overs as UAE were no match for a strong Men in Blue team.
Only two UAE batsmen, Alishan Sharafu (22 off 17) and Muhammad Waseem (19 off 22), had double-digit scores. Suryakumar Yadav’s team dominated the match, with Kuldeep Yadav taking four wickets (4/7 in 2.1 overs) and Shivam Dube adding three (3/4 in 2 overs).
Abhishek Sharma was India’s first wicket, falling for a 16-ball 30; Shubman Gill (20* off 9) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (7* off 2) remained undefeated until the conclusion. UAE’s five bowlers conceded runs at a 10-plus economy rate.
India will next face Pakistan on Sunday, September 14, in a high-octane match. They will be full of confidence after winning the match with the second-highest number of balls to spare by a full-member side in T20Is. UAE will face Oman on Monday, September 15.
