The Mumbai Indians have hired Corbin Bosch, a fellow countryman, to replace South African fast bowler Lizaad Williams, who is sidelined by injury for the upcoming IPL 2025. On Saturday, March 8, the franchise officially announced the swap.
A bowling all-rounder, Corbin Bosch has played 86 Twenty20 matches and represented South Africa (SA) in one Test and two ODIs.
The thirty-year-old replaced the injured Anrich Nortje in the Proteas’ 15-man Champions Trophy roster and made his debut for his country in December.
Bosch has not yet made his IPL debut, however he was a net bowler for the Rajasthan Royals before joining the team in 2022 to take Nathan Coulter-Nile’s position from Australia.
