The ongoing ODI World Cup final is rapidly approaching. On Sunday, November 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India and Australia will square off in the tournament’s summit match. A five-match Twenty20 International series between Australia and India is also quickly approaching as both teams prepare to compete in the final and win the coveted championship.
The ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam will host the first Twenty20 International (T20I) on Thursday, November 23, just four days after the ODI World Cup concludes. Regarding the series, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan criticized the notion of holding a series shortly after the World Cup ended on X, then known as Twitter. According to Michael Vaughan, the series screams overkill and avarice, and the players ought to take a few days off to relax after winning the championship.
“I find it unacceptable that the two finalists will begin a T20 series against one another four days later.”
Why is it that after a World Cup, we can’t give players a break or allow the winner to enjoy a few weeks of well-deserved celebrations? Michael Vaughan tweeted, “It’s overkill and pure greed.”
It doesn’t right with me that the 2 finalists 4 days later will start a T20 series against each other .. why can’t we allow players the chance to have a moments rest after a WC or whoever wins the chance to celebrate properly for a couple of weeks .. It’s complete greed and over…

Australia just overcomes South Africa to go to the World Cup final.
Regarding the current ODI World Cup, both of the semi-finals saw intense action as the Indian team broke the Kiwi curse by defeating New Zealand following an exciting match between the two teams.
India made history by being the first team to get to the final. Following Australia and South Africa’s second semi-final match, it was agreed that the Men in Yellow would play the hosts in the tournament’s championship match.
Notably, India triumphed over Australia in their opening round of the competition, and the hosts will want a repeat performance in the championship match.
