The 2025 Champions Trophy was yet another occasion for the Indian squad to celebrate. The Men in Blue went on to become the most successful team in the history of the tournament by winning their seventh ICC championship.
Before the event, the team’s selection of numerous spinners and exclusion of some well-known players drew significant criticism. They went undefeated for five games in a row, though, and went on to surpass expectations and win the championship.
Some experts, however, think that even with a different roster, India would have been just as good as the winning squad. Former England captain Michael Vaughan is among the experts who have created his own alternate eleven. He left out a few well-known players but still supported them to go to the finals.
The following people are involved: Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. According to Vaughan, this team would have advanced to the final as well. He wrote this on X, now known as Twitter.
“To be honest, India is by far the best team in the world at white ball cricket. Their strength is unmatched by any other team.” Extremely well-deserved victory. Champions trophy holders and T20 holders. Vaughan continued, “I’m going to try to catch up by resting now.”
Jaiswal,Varma,Sharma,Sky,Pant,Reddy,Sundar,Chahal,Arsdeep,Bumrah & Bisnoi …. This team would have made it to the final as well IMO .. The strength in Indian cricket in white ball is off the scale .. #India #ChampionsTrophy2025
