Australia’s leading cricket players appear to be looking forward to 2024. The Men in Yellow are primed to compete fiercely for yet another ICC (International Cricket Council) trophy following their incredible 2023 campaign. The massive T20 cricket festival is now started. A lot of Australian cricketers were also involved in the just finished Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), which is a highly competitive league. To be more precise, two stars were purchased for an astounding sum, but the audience favourites were unfazed by the financial burden. Yes, indeed! The skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Pat Cummins, is one among them.
The captain of the Australian and Indian teams for both ODI and Test cricket, Rohit Sharma, is now confirmed to participate in Major League Cricket’s second season (MLC). Remarkably, the megastar has agreed to represent the San Francisco Unicorns as their representative. Notably, when former Australian captain Aaron Finch announced his retirement from cricket, the Unicorns are anticipated to choose Cummins as their new leader. Remarkably, San Francisco and Cricket Victoria have a crucial strategic alliance within the domestic cricket circuit of Cricket Australia.

It is safe to assume that Pat Cummins is on a meteoric rise because of his intense bowling, as he has been crushing even the best hitters. Notably, the SRH captain enjoyed a remarkable run as the team advanced to the grand IPL’s knockout stages under his leadership. In addition, the Australian already participates in the Big Bash League (BBL) in his native country.
The Major League Cricket tournament will begin on July 5 after receiving A-status from the ICC.
Speaking about the MLC, it was just granted A-listed status by the highest cricket regulating organisation, the ICC. Soon after the current T20 World Cup comes to an end, the thrilling T20 competition will get underway.
The league will open on July 5 in Morrisville with a doubleheader matchup between the Seattle Orcas and the reigning champions, MI New York. Following the MLC, Pat Cummins will travel to New Zealand in February of the following year to play against the Black Caps, representing Australia.
