In the first over of Quetta Gladiators vs. Peshawar Zalmi’s run-chase in Match 2 of the current Pakistan Super League on Saturday, April 12, Mohammad Amir and Saim Ayub engaged in a verbal confrontation. After Amir delivered the second ball of the over, in which Ayub picked up a single, he was making his way back to his run-up when the event occurred.
The talk was started by the left-arm pacer. The 32-year-old’s remarks did not elicit much of a response from Ayub, who is playing competitive cricket for the first time since early January 2025 after recuperating from an ankle ailment.
