Siraj finished the England series as the leading wicket-taker, with 23 wickets in nine innings, including a career-best match haul of 9/190 in the final Test, which helped India win by six runs at The Oval.
Mohammed Siraj was seen taking a phone call while being led from the airport’s departure area to a waiting automobile.
The people in the area were seen waving the Indian tricolour and chanting Siraj’s name.

Siraj’s performance in the last series, coming from a low family background in Hyderabad, is yet another example of what hard work and determination can achieve. Since then, the 31-year-old cricketer has received a deluge of congratulations on social media.
Siraj proved to be a huge asset for India, as the Shubman Gill-led squad successfully defended the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy by winning the final game of the series and tying the series 2-2. Gill (754 runs in 10 innings) and Siraj were the touring team’s top performers.
Siraj bowled a whopping 185.3 overs in nine innings, ending up with an average of 32.43 and economy rate of 4.02. However, more impressive than his stats was the relentless manner in which he put himself on the line for the team’s needs.
