MS Dhoni was given a special memento by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) following the May 7 match between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In the IPL 2025, CSK defeated the reigning champions to record their third win.
The souvenir, which was custom made, featured a list of every international cricket match that the famous venue in Kolkata has hosted since 1934.
Snehasish Ganguly, the CAB President, gave it to the CSK captain in recognition of his outstanding career and contributions to the game.
In addition to a number of other officials, the Indian veteran was honoured by CAB Honorary Secretary Naresh Ojha. The CAB shared a picture on Instagram that went viral, showing the wicketkeeper-batter getting the memento from every official on the pitch.

The three-time champions lost the match against CSK, which was an exciting contest. Even though left-arm spinner Noor Ahmad claimed four wickets, the team reached 179 thanks to the combined efforts of the other hitters, with KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane leading the way with 48 runs in the first innings.
Dewald Brevis hit 52 off 25 balls in the middle overs, while Urvil Patel, a CSK rookie, hammered 31 runs in 11 balls in the second innings. The team ultimately crossed the finish line and exacted revenge on KKR for their previous defeat thanks to Shivam Dube (45 off 40) and the right-handed legend.
On May 10, KKR will play Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), while on May 12, CSK, who has already been ousted from the league, will play Rajasthan Royals (RR).
