‘Bihari commentary is highly energetic, reminds me of old-school radio commentary’- MS Dhoni on regional commentary in IPL

MS Dhoni was recently asked what he thought of the IPL’s regional language commentary. The renowned cricket player asserted that he has only ever heard commentary in Hindi and English. But according to the CSK folklore, he would like to hear commentary in Bhojpuri and Haryanvi.

Because there aren’t many replays available when watching live matches, the 43-year-old said he primarily listened to the commentators in Hindi and English. He thought it was simpler to analyse the game whether listening in Hindi or English. Since the commentators are mostly former cricket players, he was pleased to hear what they had to say. He commended the commentators’ expertise, citing their extensive coverage of tournaments.

“We watch live matches with little replays, and the majority of the commentary I hear is in Hindi or English, so I haven’t listened to regional language commentary very often. That aids in our improved game analysis. MS Dhoni stated on JioHotstar, “I really enjoy listening to what pundits have to say because the most of them are former players.

According to Mahi, the pundits see hundreds of matches from many nations and competitions, but he was only able to play in one IPL season. He believed that hearing their analysis would introduce the management and team to a different viewpoint. He believed it brings about fresh perspectives and methods that might influence the team’s approach.

The Bihari commentary, according to Dhoni, was really animated and made him think of the old-fashioned radio commentary. He understood that many people would prefer to hear the remark in their native tongue. The former captain of CSK said in closing that he would be interested in hearing the Haryanvi opinion.

“The Bihari (Bhojpuri) remark is quite energising, but I haven’t heard much regional criticism. It takes me back to the days of traditional radio commentary, when the commentators were heavily involved. I think that’s fascinating. Since their mother tongue is their regional language, many people would rather listen in it and want to experience the game that way. The Haryanvi commentary is so unique that I would love to hear it,” Dhoni continued.
