The first month of the Indian Premier League 2023 has been a scintillating spectacle, with all ten franchises putting on a magnificent display of cricket. The IPL 2022 runner-up Rajasthan Royals are once again enjoying a successful season, having won five of their first nine matches.

The Sanju Samson-led squad has lost three of their last four matches after winning four of their first five matches to start the season. In the previous match against the Mumbai Indians, after electing to bat first, RR posted a massive 212/7 thanks to a century by Yashasvi Jaiswal (124 off 62 deliveries).
In response, Mumbai ultimately completed an exciting chase to take the match by six wickets with three balls remaining. Despite RR’s defeat, 21-year-old Jaiswal was named Player of the Match for his outstanding innings. On Friday, May 5, Rajasthan will face the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
