On Friday, April 11, at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach Dwayne Bravo met up with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and long-time friend MS Dhoni in advance of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 matchup between the two successful teams.
CSK posted a video of the two sports legends’ touching reunion to their official social media accounts.
In the video, MS Dhoni, who was practicing his batting technique in the nets, made the amusing comment, “The traitor is here!” Bravo first encountered Ravindra Jadeja.
As a player, Bravo played for the Super Kings twice. From 2011 to 2015, he played for the Men in Yellow. After returning to the Chennai-based team in 2018, the Caribbean all-rounder played for them till 2022. Before joining the Knights as a consultant before this season, he served as their bowling coach in the IPL in 2023 and 2024.

CSK head coach Stephen Fleming declared on Thursday that Dhoni would captain the team for the remainder of the 2025 Indian Premier League after Ruturaj Gaikwad was sidelined with an elbow ailment. CSK won five titles under the former captain of India. This year, if he leads the Super Kings win the coveted IPL trophy, he might become the most successful skipper in IPL history. Rohit Sharma and Dhoni presently share the most IIPL titles won by captains, with five each.
The IPL 2025 has not started off well for CSK. Before losing four straight games, they defeated the Mumbai Indians in their inaugural match. As for KKR, after five games, they have two victories and three defeats. Prior to this match, they suffered a devastating four-run loss to the Lucknow Super Giants at home.
