View: The Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi extends his congratulations to Team India on winning the T20 World Cup.

Similarly, the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, congratulated Team India on their incredible victory on social media.

In a thrilling victory over South Africa, Team India ended their 11-year wait to win an ICC World Cup by defying all the odds and remaining composed. Notably, both sides entered the top match undefeated; nevertheless, on Saturday, June 29, the squad captained by Rohit Sharma maintained their winning streak in Barbados with an incredible seven-run victory.

For all of the Indian players, supporters, cricket experts, and authorities, this sent off a storm of emotions. In addition, he made a unique film and thanked all the Indian players in it.

“With style, our team wins the T20 World Cup! Regarding the Indian Cricket Team, we are proud. On his ‘X’ handle, PM shared a video message saying, “This match was HISTORIC.”

Team India wins its second World Cup of Twenty20.

In relation to the match, India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, chose to bat first against South Africa in Barbados after winning the toss. The choice, though, first appeared to have backfired when spinner Keshav Maharaj struck twice in as many overs, leaving India trailing 23/2. Notably, he selected the highly effective Sharma, and extra bounce later, Rishabh Pant was undone while playing a sweep stroke.

But Virat Kohli, the man of the moment, kept his best for the championship game. The top batsman led Team India’s comeback with a magnificent 76 runs off 59 balls while holding one end to keep the scoreboard moving. Notably, he hit six fours and two sixes during his knock. Axar Patel formed an important combination with him to lead the Indian team to a respectable score of 176/7.

South Africa responded by getting off to a cautious start, but bowler Arshdeep Singh had other plans and scored a couple of runs early to give the Men in Blue a good start. However, it was the gifted Heinrich Klaasen who went crazy in the middle of the match and began ambushing the Indian bowlers for amusement. He was so intent on reducing the score to 30 runs in as many balls that he slapped Axar Patel for 22 runs. But in the final three overs, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya bowled out Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller, the last remaining Rainbow Nation players standing a chance to deny India their second T20 World Cup victory
