England Women have picked a 15-person squad for the ODI portion of their ongoing multi-format series against India Women. Skipper Natalie Sciver-Brunt, who missed part of the T20I series owing to injury, has returned to full fitness and will lead the pack for the 50-over phase of the tour.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) issued a statement regarding Nat Sciver-Brunt availability for the ODI leg of the series,
Which begins on July 16, stating that she will use her all-rounder talents to supplement her captaincy for the three games. Meanwhile, Sophie Ecclestone and Maia Bouchier are significant members of the squad.
“Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is expected to play a full part in the series despite missing the end of the Vitality IT20 series with a groin injury,” said an official statement from the board on Tuesday, July 8.

The hosts are down in the T20Is, 1-2 in the five-game series, with a few of games remaining. The Indians easily won the first game, with Smriti Mandhana scoring a dashing century. The Tammy Beaumont-led team rallied in the second game, but the Indians won the third, and the sides will now face off in an all-important fourth game on Wednesday with the series on the line.
In terms of the three games in the ODI series, the Rose Bowl in Southampton will host the first match between the two teams, followed by the second match at Lord’s in London. The tour will conclude with the third and final encounter of the series on July 22 at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.
