Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was selected by Chennai Super Kings at his base price of INR 20 lakhs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction ahead of the cash-rich competition’s 2020 season after putting together a couple strong seasons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League and the Indian domestic circuit. He was a member of the Chennai team that defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL final to win the 2021 season. The Chennai-native, however, didn’t play a single game during his two seasons with the team.
Sai Kishore was acquired by one of the two new clubs, Gujarat Titans, for INR 3 crore in the super auction leading up to IPL 2022. The young player made his IPL debut on May 10, 2022, in a match against the Lucknow Super Giants. He went on to play in five matches that season, taking six wickets at a 20.17 average. The Titans eventually won the competition. He was a member of the team for the IPL 2023 season, but he didn’t play.
His T20 cricket statistics are extremely impressive. Sai has taken 57 wickets in 49 T20 games with a meager average of 16.91 and a perfect rate of just 5.48. He might be of great importance to the “Men in Blue” as they attempt to capture the first-ever gold medal at the Asian Games.
