The New Zealand women’s team for the home T20I series against the Australian team has been revealed. Lea Tahuhu is back and totally recovered from a second-grade hamstring strain, and Suzie Bates will lead the team.
Since Sophie Devine, an experienced all-rounder, was reportedly taking a hiatus from cricket for personal reasons, she was unable to play in the WPL 2025 with RCB Women or the recently finished series against Sri Lanka. However, she has rejoined the team.
A spot is also returned for Amelia Kerr, who won the Purple Cap during MI Women’s successful campaign in the WPL 2025. White Ferns head coach Ben Sawyer was thrilled to see the three key players return to the team as the hosts rely on their 13-man roster for leadership and a wealth of experience in the forthcoming series.

Alyssa Healy continues to stay on injury break
The visiting Australian team has also revealed their team for the forthcoming series, and normal captain Alyssa Healy will not be playing. Yet, she will bounce back in time for the next World Cup. She will be replaced by Tahlia McGrath, who will wear the captain’s shirt, while Beth Mooney will be the wicketkeeper.
