[Watch] IPL 2025: Nicholas Pooran clobbers Yuzvendra Chahal downtown in LSG vs PBKS

On Tuesday, April 1, in Match 13 of the 2025 Indian Premier League, Nicholas Pooran launched into a floated delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal, dismissing the ball right over the bowler’s head for a forceful maximum. A couple of boundaries on the first and third deliveries of the same over preceded the six.

The left-handed batter lunged forward and threw out his arms to smash the delivery downtown, making it a truly remarkable shot. The leg-spinner let up 15 runs in his opening over by the end of the over.

In the 12th over, Chahal defeated Nicholas Pooran with an alluring googly, but he had the last laugh.

Glenn Maxwell, the catcher, made no mistake, but Pooran was totally mad at himself for spooning the ball right down long-off’s neck. Pooran returned to the shed six runs short of reaching his 12th half-century in the IPL.

As all was going on, the cunning Chahal finished his evening with numbers of 1/36 in four overs. During his final three overs, he gave up just 21 runs. Nehal Wadhera, an Impact Player, replaced him on the pitch. Pooran was the top scorer with 44 as LSG finished their 20 overs with a score of 171/7.
