At the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday, April 12, Nicholas Pooran made a sweet gesture by meeting the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fan who was struck by one of the southpaw’s sixes during his team’s six-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans (GT). A day before LSG’s match against the Delhi Capitals, the hard-hitting batsman brought Nabeel to the stadium and gave him a cap that he had signed.
He was questioned if he was okay by the West Indian. As he described his experience, Nabeel had a smile on his face. Additionally, he stated that as long as LSG wins, he wouldn’t mind getting whacked once more. The Lucknow supporter also appeared eager to attend the forthcoming IPL 2025 match against DC.
“Pooran Sir called and welcomed me here, and I’m feeling fantastic. He even enquired about my well-being when we first met. I’m also coming for the game. Even if I am struck, our Lucknow team should continue to win. I was thrilled because our squad won that day. In a video posted by LSG on their official X account, Nabeel said, “This is our team, the trophy is our dream.”

As the IPL 2025 enters a critical point, LSG hopes to maintain its pace.
Prior to the current matchup with DC, LSG had won five of their last eight games. They enter this game fresh off a thrilling two-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. In that game, Pooran only made 11 out of eight. Avesh Khan and Aiden Markram both had outstanding efforts with the bat and the ball, respectively.
Pooran has performed admirably in the 2025 IPL. The left-handed batter has scored 368 runs with a remarkable strike rate of 205.58 in eight innings thus far. He has hit thirty fours and thirty-one sixes for a total of sixty-one boundaries. If LSG wins against DC, they will become the second team to score 12 points.
