Oshane Thomas of the Saint Lucia Kings had a dismal performance against the Guyana Amazon Warriors in match 13 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 on Wednesday, August 27, at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.
Guyana won the toss and decided to bat first on Wednesday. They were in trouble at the end of the 14th over, having lost half of their side with only 95 runs scored.
However, Oshane Thomas’ awful bowling in the 15th over enabled Guyana gain momentum in their innings.
The right-arm speedster scored four runs on his first two balls. He bowled a front-foot no-ball and a wide off the next delivery. The next delivery was another front-foot no-ball, which Romario Shepherd hit for a six over deep mid-wicket. Thomas appeared sad and out of sorts. He bowled another front-foot no-ball, which Shepherd hit for a six on the roof at deep square-leg. The 28-year-old finally bowled a legitimate delivery, which was blasted over the roof at deep square-leg by the West Indian all-rounder.

The over ended with a six from Iftikhar Ahmed as Thomas conceded 33 runs. Thomas, who had picked up the wicket of Shai Hope earlier in the innings, eventually finished his spell with figures of 1/63 in four overs. He bowled a much better last over, conceding just 12 runs.
Guyana amassed 202/6 in their 20 overs, with Shepherd top-scoring with an unbeaten 73 off 34 balls. However, this didn’t turn out to be a sufficient score on a flat deck.
Ackeem Auguste played a blinder of an innings as his 73 off 35 balls helped the Kings chase down the 203-run target in just 18.1 overs, with four wickets to spare.
