Imran Nazir, a former Pakistani opener, said something controversial about India not to come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup this year. He said that India doesn’t want to come to Pakistan for the tournament because they are “scared” of losing.
Imran Nazir also said that saying you are worried about security is just a “excuse.” The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board have a disagreement about the 2023 Asia Cup (PCB).
“There’s no reason for safety. Look at all the teams that have been to Pakistan. Australia came, which isn’t an A team. All of these are just excuses. India won’t come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup because they don’t want to risk losing. Security is only a reason. Come play a game of cricket. “There is no turning back once you start playing politics,” Imran Nazir said on the Nadir Ali podcast.
Also, India’s games in the tournament are likely to be moved to neutral sites, while the games of other teams could be moved to Pakistan. The last time India went to Pakistan was for the Asia Cup in 2008. The Men in Blue made it to the final, but Sri Lanka beat them by 100 runs. After the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008, relations between the two countries that are close to each other have almost stopped. But Pakistan hasn’t been to India since 2012-13, when they went there for a short white-ball series.
“All my joints were damaged, and I had been in pain for almost 6-7 years,” Imran Nazir says.
Imran Nazir also made a shocking claim that he was poisoned and had to go to the doctor for almost 10 years to treat his joints. The Pakistani cricket player said he was given mercury, which he called “slow poison.” The 41-year-old man also said he didn’t know who gave him that.
“When I was recently treated, which included an MRI, a statement was made that I had been given Mercury, which is poison. It is a slow poison that hurts your joints when it gets to them. All of my joints were taken care of for 8–10 years. All of my joints were hurt, and because of this, I was in pain for about 6-7 years. But I still asked God, “Please don’t make me bedridden.” And thank goodness that didn’t happen,” Nazir said.
“I used to walk around all the time, and people would say, “You look great!” Nazir said, “I didn’t believe a lot of people, but I don’t know when or what I ate. Since the poison doesn’t work right away. It hurts you for a long time. I’ve never wished bad things on the person who did this. He also said, “Someone who wants to save is better than someone who wants to kill.”
