Salman Ali Agha will lead Pakistan’s 15-man squad in their upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are among the notable absentees from the squad. Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr. have yet to fully heal from their separate injuries. Haris Rauf had to miss out owing to a recent injury sustained while playing Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025.
Ahmed Daniyal, a 28-year-old right-arm medium pacer, gained his first international call-up following an outstanding performance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. Faheem Ashraf and Fakhar Zaman, who were part of the setup for the previous T20I series against Bangladesh at home, have also been included in the team. Mohammad Nawaz, who last played a Twenty20 International in January 2024, has returned.
Pakistan dominated the three-match home T20I series against Bangladesh in May and June of this year.
Mohammad Haris, a wicketkeeper-batter, was named Player of the Series after scoring 179 runs in three games at a 201.12 strike rate.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh is currently playing an all-format series against Sri Lanka in the island nation. Following the present third ODI in the series, they will play three T20Is before heading home for the Pakistan series. Mirpur’s Shere Bangla National Stadium will host all three Twenty20 Internationals. The series is planned to begin on Sunday, July 20.
